 This is one of the most popular payment gateway with users here
and offers both online credit card and check processing.
The cart uses Authorizenet's AIM integration method. This means card
details are based to the processor in the background making it a seamless
experience as far as the customer is concerned. There are a number of setup options
including arranging for Authorizenet to send your customer a receipt and deferred capture.
Setup is very straight forward and simply involves entering a
few details about the Authorizenet account in the Admin area.
The link is created immediately.
With AIM links from the cart to the gateway are authorized
using your Transaction key which you can pickup from your management area at
Authorizenet. If you use the same
Authorizenet account with more than one cart make sure you use the same
transaction key with all of them.
As with all payment gateways you need to check that it is all
functioning correctly by placing a few test transactions. The following
card numbers will pass the local credit card verification routines:
- Visa 4111111111111111
- MasterCard 5555555555554444
- Amex 378282246310005
- Discover 6011111111111117
Error messages with the codes 123 or 103 (This transaction cannot be accepted)
invariably mean that you have entered the wrong API login ID and/or
Transaction key.
