    You only charge sales tax based on where your business is located, and whether the customer is in the same state as you or not.

    Someone in San Francisco, CA buying from you -- a store in Los Angeles, CA -- will still pay the Los Angeles sales tax.

    Now, if you have a store in LA and a store in SF, and the SF customer buys from your SF store, then you charge the SF sales tax rate.

    Someone in Dallas, Texas, buying from you -- a store in Los Angeles, CA -- will not pay sales tax.
