Some of the items i sell will be personalised with 2/3 lines of text etc.
In an ideal world the customised details would appear in the shopping basket alongside the item purchased... Is there any way of achieving this?
Kind of seems like a big ask - but i'm hoping some malexpert might have a magic wand.
Alternatively can anyone suggest an alternative strategy that would be a bit less clunky than asking them to email the personalisation separately... I can see all sorts of areas for problems there :)

No magic wand needed. Just add a text input to your form with the syntex being product[]

Brilliant - thank you - i really wasn't expecting it to have that much functionality. Glad I asked, because i very nearly didn't bother!

    Hi LazyCarrot,

You can achieve exactly what you want with Mal's.

I've done it on my site, so customers can Order personalised Labels.

Please take a look at my labels page to see how I did it:-

    http://www.craftee.co.uk/labels.html

Feel free to view the source and see how it's done.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Paul
