Even though I have had a few web sites copy some of my original pages years ago and they ended up taking a lot of business from me by posting lower prices, I decided to change a lot of what I had on my new site because there were more pages being copied by some "new" sites I had never seen.

So I have also been learning how to do more SEO stuff that I never knew before. I found one site (the 1st one below) that I have known about for about 10 years now that has 2 duplicate web sites using different domain names and the 1st one ranks #1 or top 5 for almost every search I have ever done for any chinese herb in those 10 years. How can they rank that high if the sites are copied from each other?

    chineseherbsdirect dot com

    herbsdirect dot com

    ayurvedicherbsdirect dot com

If websites are copying your original material, you can file a DMCA take down request:
    http://www.dmca.com/

With Google, you can file a complaint from here:
    http://www.google.com/dmca.html‎

Click 'Web Search' then 'I have a legal issue that is not mentioned above' then 'Yes, I am the copyright owner or am authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed'

You must ensure that you can prove ownership of the original material.

    Good luck.

Thank you again for your help GT! You are a wealth of knowledge.

What about the site I mentioned copying their web site and giving them different domain names to get all those inbound links to rank higher in search engines? Isn't that against what is ethical on the internet also? Doesn't it "disqualify" them some because the content is duplicated word for word?

Anyway to stay on track here, GT, do you have a paid service to get my pages back higher in the search engines? If you do I would be very interested in finding out about it. Please let me know and feel free to send me a personal message.

You can report what you consider to be spam to Google here:
    https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreportform?hl=en

Searching Google for Acai Extract, I don't find any of those sites in the top 100 listings in Google.

If you want to email me, I can give you a free one hour look over your site and make suggestions that might help.

    hahahahahaha

Microsoft and Amazon are clients - yeah right...........

"Obviously having numbers of high quality links pointing to your website is crucial when Googles decide how to rank you."

Google is spelt Google, not Googles.
And, that statement is totally false.

"You'll find top quality link partners, establish thousands of first–class links"
and find that suddenly your website has taken a 100 place drop in Google for link spamming or link farming!

    Their testimonial...
    http://www.link-assistant.com/user-reviews/seo-software-case-study-5.html
Not listed in the top 100 in Google:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=bamboo+sheets
Looking at the site, I can see why Google has virtually removed the whole website from its databases.

Not spending any more time on this rip off website... £200 for this is just a con.

You're too funny! Thanks for the quick look though!!!!!!! Now I won't have to waste anymore time wondering. :)

I also noticed you said to email you for the site lookover. So I will do that.

    Thanks again!
