    Hi all,

I have been tuning up our website and checking the functionality of the shopping cart - so far so good and it looks very slick embedded into our website template.
First real issue I have come to is the page our payment gateway forwards the user to if they cancel their payment process on the gateway, in our case Sagepay.
    Here's our webiste - www.sofabedgallery.co.uk
Try adding a product into the cart and cancel without entering card details.
This is the error message shown :
    http://www.sofabedgallery.co.uk/templatefiles/error.jpg
The message does not contain any link back to our website, the user is basically stuck !
Is there anyway to customise this message and add a link back to our website ?

    Kind regards

    Chris

I don't remember seeing this question before Chris, maybe Debbie has...

My thought is, if the buyers card is turned down, why would you want them to keep browsing the site?

Having trouble with a form or need one building?
Fast turnaround, but I do charge :)

Mal's Forms / Scripts and the syntax are here.

    Hi GT

Often potential buyers will go through the checkout just to ensure delivery charges aren't added on at the end of the process, with the intention of coming back again to finalise the order.
As you can see from the screenshot, the landing page after cancelling the Sagepay card process simply lands on a brick wall so to speak.

How about adding some comforting words on the shipping page?

It's an option but hardly ideal.

It would appear that the returning page from the payment gateway cannot be customised.

Not a massive issue, but one which really should be resolved.

Did you email Mal about it and ask him? At least you will know if it is something on the cart end or something on Sagepay.

I believed the first place to ask the question was on the forum incase the issue had been raised previously.

I will send a message to Mal and update this thread on the reply.

I have been laiaising with Mal Stewart and he has advised of the reason behind the problem.

"The problem is that you've not provided a "SECURE PAGE TEMPLATE". Once you get into the payment process itself, the cart will use secure pages so it needs a secure template. Login to Admin and go to:

    Cart setup > Templates

    Hope that makes sense,

    Mal Stewart"

Hopefully sharing his reply will help other users who may encounter a similar error to the one I was encountering.
