    Hi

    I have a kits page which has an option for an optional card. At the moment I have it as adding just one to the cart at a time but I would like to include a drop down for qty like my other pages.

    However I need the additional optional card to use the same qty drop down list.

    If I number my products as normal then i would have to number the qty field too.
    Any way to use the same drop down for both?

    Page with the optional cards on link below

    normal page with drop down qty on link below

    I am sure you knew that you would be directed back to GT's script page. LOL

    I think this is the page. http://www.malsforms.com/multi-dropdown-plus-discount.html

    Hi Debbie.

    At first glance I'm not sure how that particular script would help. I don't want to give a discount :-)

    I will have a better look at it later to see if I can use some of it.

    I will leave the page as it is at the moment as I know it works, customers will just have to add the kit to the basket twice if they want two.

    You would just not be using the discountpr part but the script to copy the qty is the same. But.... What if they want 2 kits but want 2 different color options? Probably best left as it is.

    That was always going to be a problem - if they wanted different colours. Most customers only have one kit of each design so it should not be a problem.

    That page is the only one I have changed at the moment. The rest look like the following one

    http://www.craft-kits.co.uk/stitch-m-littledog.htm

    If you get a sec can you check them both out and see which you would prefer as a customer?

    Debbie Q - been looking through the forum and found the following thread

    https://www.mals-e.com/viewtopic.php?id=27195&mid=27195&fid=4#

    On number 4 you state the following.

    "If the person buys multiple panels do they want the same number of templates? If so the soultion is easy. Would have to give some thought to it if they only need one template. "

    I think this is almost what I was wanting. You said the solution was easy - is that because you were thinking of the same script you suggested to me?
    If not then can you enlighten me please :)

    Yes, I was thinking the same script I gave you but didn't want to search for the link if it was not what he was looking for.

    OK Debbie Q - have not had a good look at it yet. Might just stay with the way I have it on http://www.craft-kits.co.uk/stitch-m-teddy.htm

    Did anyone get a chance to look at the difference between the above page and http://www.craft-kits.co.uk/stitch-m-littledog.htm which hasn't been changed?
    The difference is that the second one has the card ordered as part of the kit but this has confused some customers. Personally I think the teddy page makes it clear what you get, but you don't get the choice of buying more than one at a time.

    I wish I had more design knowledge and confidence :-(

    I like the way the Teddy page is better. I don't think you would want a qty field because I think if someone was going to buy more than one of the kit they would likely want different color cards for it.

    Another thing crossed my mind. Customers might not know what a "Circle Aperture Card" is. Should you maybe have a picture or a link to the cards page for them to see them?

    Thanks for the feedback Debbie Q - much appreciated :-)

    One last question on these pages. Is there any way to make discountpr work so that if they add 2 cream cards separately to the cart they would be combined?

    I have seen several posts using
    <input type="hidden" name="discountpr2" value="0,10.20">
    but as i use
    <input type="radio" name="productpr2" value="Mouseloft Card and Envelope - Cream:0.60:0.19:CARD-C-8;">
    for the cards I can't work out how to change it.

    Or perhaps it won't work - that is fine, if you can let me know I can forget about it and move on :-)
