    Upselling Link

Been working on this for 2 hours. Just can't figure out why the links are showing in the test cart and not my website cart. Can anyone help? I am going to have find another option. The upselling link is perfect for charitable donation add-ons and, I did get it to work last year but not this year. Frustrated. :)

Need more info to help. What are the stipulations for the upsale items? What's the URL of your page?

Hello Debbie - thanks for replying and helping.

Not sure what 'stipulation'; are but I don't think there are any.
Just two simple, straightfoward products. No SKU# or special shipping units etc.
One is a donation for 5 cents.
The other is a Christmas kit for $5.00

    Web Page: http://www.crackers.gilliancards.com/SALE/ChristmasJigSawPuzzles.htm
There are 3 different shopping carts. I am trying to add the upselling links to the USA and CANADIAN shopping cart links.

The two upselling items are showing fine when I click on the "view cart' button at Mals - but are not available from the shopping cart on my website.

Strangely you have your USA link setup for Currency = 1 (GB Pounds Sterling)

and your Canada link setup for Currency = 2 (Euros)

What do you hae the currency setup in the cart for the upselling items?

Well, regardless if it seems strange or not, it has worked perfectly for our business for several years now. Thank goodness! :) The upselling is set up the same way the shopping links are set up for currencies - I didn't see any other option under the advanced cart code to do anything else. It is simply requests naming the product, pricing it, linking the product images and indicating which link the page should go on. I have no special shipping or SKU requirements.

Thanks, Debbie for trying to help. I really appreciate your effort, however, if this isn't an easy thing to fix, I am just going to let it go. I am deluged with work at the moment and I have to stick with 'easy'. I wish i could find other Mals subscribers who use the upselling link so I could speak with them. Maybe another time.

    Thanks again.

Click edit on the upsell link and you will see a spot to set the currency. It needs to match the currency set in your links.

Perhaps ask Mal if there are any complications if a cart has multiple upselling links with different currencies.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Alan.

Each shopping cart (I use three for a variety of reasons) has only one currency in use. The upselling currency is set for the default of whichever currency I am using in that particular cart. So, USD cart has USD for upselling; same with CND cart / CND for upselling.

Appreciate the comment though. Thanks. I really don't know what I am doing wrong! :) I got it to work last year without issue but because they are seasonal links I deleted them after Christmas. Unfortunately!

    Thanks again,
    Gillian

You may catch old versions on the wayback website, e.g. http://wayback.archive.org/web/20111110213923/http://www.crackers.gilliancards.com/ChristmasPUZZLE.htm
but unfortunately not the setup pages.

By the way, have you set them for the main cart or the payment options page?
