    Is there a way of creating an email from the cart to the customer when you have dispatched the goods please?

    Yes you can.

    Login to your 'Orders'

    Under 'Current Orders'

    Click on 'List Current Orders'

    Click on the 'Order' you wish to notify

    Click on 'Shipped'

    Click on 'Shipping Status'

    Enter the shipping 'Reference' if you have one

    Click on the 'Send Email' button.

    This system may only be available to Premium users.

    If the option of 'List Current Orders' is not showing to you, you will need to Email Mal to ask him to update your Shopping Cart to activate the facility.

    I was just placing an order myself on my account so I could test that feature Don because I saw it but never tried it. Unfortunately My cart has not been sending even the first order confirmation emails to customers so I guess I cannot use that feature. When I did a test it said it Posted the message to the customer. Where does it post it?

    I had noticed the customer database a while back and the passwords but I had no clue what the database was for or how the customers got the passwords.

    Thanks, that sounds great but I don't seem to have that feature.
    I am assuming that you mean it comes up as an option on the right hand side of the current order list where the order details summary appears when you click on an order.
    The current options I have are:
    Display this order
    Edit this order
    Email Customer receipt
    Archive order

    I upgraded to premium to see it gave me the option then, but now I still have the same list as before, nothing mentioning shipping.

    Aha!
    I think I have it.
    I had to turn on order processing.
    Now all I have to work out how to change the template.

    There has been nothing on facebook about this. That is where Mal normally puts new features now.

    Think we should all email him and ask him to post about it :-)

    I am premium on 2 of my carts and neither have this. What server are you on?

    Not happy if this is only available to some customers when we all pay the same premium rate.

    Ok - edited - just found the "order processing" bit and am taking a look - really hate it when we are not told about new stuff - even if it is in beta. How is Mal going to get feedback about the beta if no-one knows about it !!

    Life is too short to work 8 hours a day - thats why I work 16 :-)

    It is available on my free Shopping cart too.
    The key thing is to switch on Order processing
    It is a great feature
