    Gudday all
In a few posts I have noticed reference to Mal's cart version 2? What is version 2 and when did it come out?
How do I tell if I have it or not?
Is it part of the free or paid carts?
If available for free cart can I get it?

Version 2 is the new, alternative, front end to the shopping cart. Its main feature is that it supports any device, mobile or desktop, using a "responsive design". Version 2 was made as the default version when you signed up for a new cart in February 2015. It ran in beta for some time before that. You can switch to version 2 in cart setup in admin under Customize/switch version if you are using the original version. Version 2 is available in both free and paid carts,

    Thank you for the reply.
I have been to the support page.
    I cannot see a Customise/switch version?
    I can see
''Configuring your cart'' & ''advanced settings''
but under neither of them can I see customise/switch version

I have logged on under my e-mail address/password.
Is that the right place to be logged into?

    Hi,
Hope it's not bad etiquette to tag onto this thread but my question is relevant.

We've been using V1 for years and wondered about switching to V2, but if bad things happen or we just don't like it, is it simple to change back tversion 1 without having to re-input lots of settings?

    Thanks
    Ian

Yes, you can simply change back with a simple Click, it does not alter anything.

It's worth having a look at.

The only problem is that your cart will be live straight away in V2 and there are other things to set up like colours and things.

Your best bet would be to have a test cart account to do all the checking and amending first so you can change very quickly when you do switch your main cart to V2

All the colours ets, that you have selected in the V1 are automatically duplicated in the V2.

Not all, and some other things don't look good in V2 and need amending. It is much easier to test it all first on a "spare" cart.

We had to change a lot, especially all the extra text in the cart we had and which options we wanted, and even swapped around the shipping and card holders addresses etc.

It would of course be better if we could make the changes and then to go live, rather than it be live as soon as you hit the button. But guess that is too hard to do in the scripts etc.
