    Oh yeah i get those aswell but usually they have some stupid name url domain etc

    Its not like your getting a link that points to halifax.me or halifax.co.in instead of the usual .co.uk

    Like with paypal i owned a domain once promoting a paypal enabled script for donations tracking etc and because my domain hat the word paypal in it they complained threatened to take me to court if i didnt give up the domain and use a different one

    So presumably a company protecting its brand combined with keeping their site secure, could figure out a way to legal aquire the domain name from the scammers to stop them using a link that resembles mals actual site link.

    Then it would look less genuine and less people would fall for it if they tried using some goofy domain like most scammers do.
