AuthorizeNet error : Processing terminated. Max tries exceeded

    I'm trying to set up a new client account with AuthorizeNet.

    We are using AIM settings.

    When we try to process orders, we get an error message: "Processing terminated. Max tries exceeded"

    I've set AuthorizeNet up before for other clients and have never seen this error before. Does anyone have any ideas?

    With Authorizenet, and most of the other gateways too, you are only allowed five declines and you will then be locked out for half an hour. We are talking about just you, your IP, not any other customers.

    It is to stop criminals using the cart to test stolen cards, something which not only costs you money (if you are charged a per transaction fee) but is a big problem in the industry as a whole.
