How to add comments field to the form?

    I have a form with several items for sale. I'm looking to add a comments option to this form, which is not attached to any specific item (meaning they can purchase any of the items and fill out the comments and the comments will be submitted to the shopping cart). Is there a way to do this?
    I'm already using a comments field in the shopping cart itself. I was looking for a way to add a second field for comments.

    Thank you in advance for any help on this!

    You can use addmulti and make the comments be a product with no cost.

    I did that on one of my forms, here is what I added to get the comments to go to the cart:

    <form action=""; method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="userid" value="XXXXXXX">
    <input type="hidden" name="return" value="www.yourwebsite..html">;
    Any special instructions: <br>
    <textarea cols="50" rows="4" name="product[]"></textarea>
    <select size="1" name="productpr">
    <option selected value="">Quantity</option>
    <option value="Help Me Choose - Effetre 104 Glass Pack{br}:25.">$25.00</option>
    <option value="Help Me Choose - Effetre 104 Glass Pack{br}:50.">$50.00</option>
    <option value="Help Me Choose - Effetre 104 Glass Pack{br}:75.">$75.00</option>
    <option value="Help Me Choose - Effetre 104 Glass Pack{br}:100.">$100.00</option>
    <input TYPE="submit" VALUE="Add to Cart">
