I have been working on trying to install opencart for a couple days now. I am almost there and hopelessly stuck. I have searched the forums thoroughly and googled until I couldn't see straight any more. I did call Yahoo too and they will not help with the install of a 3rd party program.

I use Yahoo for hosting. I am almost done, but cannot finish the configuration. Yahoo tells me that my database is named MySQL The opencart will not recognize that and will not allow me to finish the install. I have fully set up MySQL, so I know that is right and I can find nothing else that references any other name for the SQL database.

Please save the life of my computer before I throw it out the window. This was supposed to be a fairly easy program to use, but the setup instructions have been awful.

This has nothing to do with Mal's....

I have set up around 50 Opencart databases and websites, it normally takes around 15 minutes.

Having trouble with a form or need one building?
Fast turnaround, but I do charge :)

Mal's Forms / Scripts and the syntax are here.

No it doesn't have anything to do with Mal's other then the fact that I use Ma'ls, but I know there are users here that have used Opencart and could possibly help.

It is nice that you have set up about 50 databases and sites. Good for you. I emailed you through your website a few weeks ago asking for help because I knew that you had used Opencart and I asked you what you would charge to do it and you never bothered to respond so it isn't very nice to brag about how easily you are able to do it. Lots of us really struggle with things like this. I don't have a clue what I am doing, but I am trying.

I always reply to emails, I didn't get yours.

Give me FTP access, the name and password of the d/b and I'll set it up as long as there are no issues with your hosting.
