    I'm currently utilizing the shipping calculator that calculates shipping charges based upon total weight of your order. It's tied to our UPS account which then calculates and presents the online costumer with shipping charges associated with a the level of shipping service they desire (i.e. ground, 3-day, 2nd day, next day air) Where each item is assigned a weight value as seen within this "buy it now" button code:
    <form action=""; method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="userid" value="XXXXXXXXXX">
    <input type="hidden" name="product" value="IR W7150-K2 20volt 1/2inch drive cordless impact wrench kit with TWO batteries ">
    <input type="hidden" name="producturl" value=""; />
    <input type="hidden" name="thumb" value="ir-w7150-k2-thumb.jpg" >
    <input type="hidden" name="price" value="399.50">
    <input type="hidden" name='return' value='' >
    <input type="hidden" name="units" value="12">
    <input type="Submit" value="ADD TO CART">

    How can I assign FREE ground shipping to this particular item, but still allow for the customer to have the ability to see the shipping options menu if they want to have the shipping service upgraded from free Ground delivery service to something like a 3-day select or a Next Day Air?

    Thank you!

    Apologies for delay - I've been on the high seas for the last couple of weeks. I can't see a simple answer.

    If it were the only item in an order you might change the weight to 11.9 and set up another option - 'Only for IR W7 drill' - with
    The first 11.8 units cost 1000 the band
    The next 0.1 units cost -1000 the band
    The next 1000 units cost 1000 the band

    which would prove unattractive for other products. Maybe include a note suggesting ordering this product on its own to see the best shipping options.

    However, there would be a problem if an order could total exactly 11.9 units from other products.
