    I did it this way on the tax page:
    I selected the 3rd tax basis: Tax calculated using rate set in buy now links.
    Then I used #2 check box and put text "check here if order is from Vermont.

    Then I used a form type order form(post) and added a hidden input type for tax. If I have a page with taxable and nontaxable items I'm going to put in more than one form, one taxed and one not. I also have girft certificates and will have a separate form for that. -Flaggfish
